Air Products distributes gases such as argon, nitrogen, hydrogen, and oxygen to various industries such as manufacturers and health care facilities. The company also produces chemicals used to make polyurethane, amines, and emulsions, as well as various gas containers and equipment. Headquartered in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, Air Products has operations in more than 30 countries and does business throughout the world. Its current strategy includes a focus on making strategic acquisitions, expanding core businesses, and improving work processes to increase efficiency. In 2006 AGCO added to its Air Products Healthcare unit with the purchase of Nightingale Medical, a homecare supply company. Also in 2006, the company sold its amines business and acquired Tomah3 Products which makes goods used in the industrial cleaning, mining and oil industries.
